So, so far, why would anyone not stay here the night before a morning flight? £25 for the room, three courses with a glass of wine for a further £23 a pop & as big a breakfast as you can eat thrown in. Seems great. Will be back if we end up flying from LGW in the summer. In fact we might even plan around doing so. Very relaxing way to start a trip.
As promised the view from the Premier Inn bedroom window. The room is fine although the aircon is too noisy. The super touch screen self-serve check-in wasn’t but it was quickly sorted. Just sorting out the meal deal strategy now. Looks like the big breaky is the way to go. (Surprise surprise)
Strangely I’m unreasonably excited for an adult about what we are off to do. The footage of the meteor in Russia – whilst nothing to do with the Northern Lights – makes all that space stuff a bit more immediate.
Everything seems to be in place, even the weather forecast is improving, work is logged off, skiing is set, lodgings for daughter and dog secured & dinner booked at the hotel.
So the practice pack has been completed & the good news is that we appear to have enough space. Now all we need to do is work out what goodies to fill the spare space with. I favour Buttered Mintoes and Conny Onny bars. Sar wants chocolate. The really good news is that there will be space in our ‘liquids’ bags for some nightcaps.
Well, it’s now February which means we are getting very close to ‘wheels up’. The Twitter feed seems to be working – see right – although I’m not sure how quickly it updates. I know the photo posting via the Android WordPress app works well & have a way via YouTube of embedding video although that isn’t as neat.
With the hotel at the airport, the airports, hotel and even the planes supposedly having free Wi-Fi I’m hoping to regularly update the blog through the trip.
Wow, lovely warm boots. Bit of a problem in that whilst wearing them for the first time WFC scored the goal of the season which as all football fans know means I know have to wear winter boots to every match but hey, worth it I think. Means sweaty feet come May but what can you do . . . . . . . .
Got these from Sar for Xmas. I’ve been breaking them in by using them as slippers but I think they’ll be used in anger at WFC this weekend.
